Medium Size Certified Naturally Grown Chesnok Red is a purple stripe garlic originally from the Republic of Georgia. It has a nice full garlicky flavor with medium heat. It has a sweet creamy taste when roasted. There are about 6 to 8 medium size easy peel cloves around a central stem and you can expect about 60 cloves in each pound. When planted bulbs can grow fairly large with good organic material in the soil. This is a strikingly beautiful variety with purple stripes against a pinkish white background. Expect that bulbs will measure about 1.76″ in diameter.
